Hakuchou Suspension Bridge

Location: Hokkaido, Japan
Client: Hokkaido Prefecture Engineering Office

A 1,380-meter-long, 720-meter main span, 23-meter-wide suspension highway bridge with thin steel box girders.

Opened on April 17, 1998, it is part of Japan National Route 37. Several windmills along the bridge provide nighttime lighting for the nearby park golf course. Due to extremely high winds, pedestrians, bicycles, and motorbikes are prohibited from crossing.

Completed Task
Erection design of the lifting system for raising the girder deck units.
