Consultancy services for the structural earthquake performance assessment of the QNB Finansbank Crystal Building were conducted for the A-Block Tower, which consists of 44 floors (36 normal floors and 8 basement floors). The scope of work included verifying the earthquake performance assessment results to ensure their compatibility with national (TBDY-2018) and international design codes through 3-dimensional nonlinear time history structural analyses performed using Perform-3D software. It was confirmed that the Immediate Occupancy performance level is satisfied under the Design Earthquake, characterized by a 10% probability of exceedance in 50 years (a 475-year return period), and the Life Safety performance level is satisfied under the Maximum Considered Earthquake, characterized by a 2% probability of exceedance in 50 years (a 2,475-year return period). Additionally, the effects of floor acceleration on non-structural elements and critical equipment were examined to evaluate post-earthquake business continuity.
