Peer Review Service Scope As the Design Supervisor, the scope involved comprehensive, multi-stage technical control and quality assurance for all seismic-isolated projects and calculations, ensuring strict compliance with with governing codes and standards.
I. Design Stage Peer Review • Preliminary & Design Control: Performed detailed supervision of structural calculations, including 3D model verification, isolator grouping (based on axial loads), and comparison of site-specific seismic spectrums. • Advanced Analysis: Led complex design checks for both DBE and MCE earthquakes, requiring the definition of isolator non-linear properties and setting up the advanced non-linear analysis method, including P-Delta effects. • Time-History Verification: Verified final structural performance using NLTH analysis, confirming that isolator upper/lower limits were not exceeded under DBE and MCE events, and controlling floor accelerations and relative floor displacements.
II. Testing and Site Quality Assurance • Prototype Test Supervision: Required attendance and preparation of a report to confirm isolator performance, checking hysteretic behavior and conformity to anticipated upper and lower limits. Required and verified structural analysis revisions if tests were near limit values. • Manufacturing & Installation Control: Approved the Application Detail Project post-testing. Supervised the initiation and evaluation of Production Tests. Conducted on-site verification of isolator installation, connections, and utility interface details.
