Structural and geotechnical design peer review services were provided for the 17,710 m² hazelnut processing facility. The plant consists of a base-isolated production building and storage silos, along with a fixed-base social building. This project represents the first base-isolated industrial facility in Türkiye. Advanced seismic devices were integrated to improve structural resilience. The silos were supported by 31 lead rubber bearing (LRB) isolators and 8 viscous dampers, while the production building utilized 130 friction pendulum system (FPS) isolators and 12 viscous dampers. Given the high seismicity of the location, viscous dampers were strategically employed to optimize isolator displacements.
