With its roots dating back to the industrial revolution, Coats is the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturer. The Coats Türkiye plant is located in Bursa, a city that has been a center of the textile industry for decades. Constructed in the 1960s, the buildings are non-ductile. A Seismic Performance Assessment contract was signed for the Coats manufacturing plant in Türkiye. The services provided include performance evaluation and proposing an appropriate retrofit method using energy-dissipating friction dampers. This project aims to preserve industrial heritage and support the economic sustainability of both the region and the country.
