Based on the previously conducted performance assessment, a Feasibility Study was carried out for five buildings (Dyehouse, Finishing, Spinning, Spinning Office, and Engineering Building), where minimizing business interruption was crucial. These studies identified the type, quantity, and preferred locations of friction dampers. The study also determined the estimated downtime, construction timelines, and approximate costs.

Within the retrofitting project, friction dampers were incorporated into 43% (~15,000 m²) of the total building area. Dampers were strategically placed to minimize business interruption. In some cases, due to sensitive equipment inside the buildings, dampers were installed externally. For structures retrofitted with dampers, no internal foundation work was required. The conventional retrofitting methods used included adding steel braces, column jacketing, and FRP wrapping.
