In the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, the Taksim First Aid Hospital will be demolished and replaced with the Beyoğlu Education and Research hospital with 250-bed capacity. The hospital was designed as a seismically isolated reinforced concrete structure but base isolated project could not be applied due to permission issues. Therefore, same project was converted to conventional (fixed based) structure.

The project included site-specific seismic hazard analysis, as well as design and cost analyses for deep excavation of 35m and retaining wall.
