Ceyhan Marine Terminal Jetty Structure Performance Assessment
Ceyhan Marine Terminal Jetty Structure Performance Assessment
Location: Ceyhan, Adana, Türkiye
Scale: 2500 m Length
Client: Verwater
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline extends approximately 1,076 km through Türkiye, terminating at the Ceyhan Marine Terminal. The terminal jetty has a total length of approximately 2500 m. As part of the planned modifications, a new 16” pipeline will be integrated into the existing jetty structure. The assessment aims to evaluate the impact of the additional pipeline load on the seismic performance of the jetty. In addition to the increased loads, updated seismic data have been considered to evaluate the nonlinear behavior and performance of the jetty structures under seismic effects through detailed structural analyses. The assessment determined that the existing jetty structure has sufficient capacity to safely support the additional pipeline. Consequently, the feasibility of the project has been confirmed, and its implementation has been deemed possible.
