The project involved transforming the existing shore area into sheltered conditions to accommodate the retired Akdeniz boat, donated to serve as a training ship. The existing breakwater structure was extended by 180 meters, including widening to allow for vehicle traffic, ensuring the boat could safely remain in the sheltered area. A 35-meter wide and 70-meter-long wharf structure was supported by steel-driven pipes, with a 29-meter-long PC bridge connecting the wharf and breakwater systems designed for transportation purposes. Additionally, three jetty structures, 38, 48, and 64 meters long, with steel-driven piles and 17-meter-long PC-type bridge structures, were designed to enable small boats to board.
